Commercial Operations Analyst – Ireland.

JOB PURPOSE:
To provide commercial support to the Commercial Management team focussing predominantly on the Dublin site – but including support for other sites as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and a passion for driving operational efficiency & profitability within a commercial environment.
As a Commercial Operations Analyst, you will support improvements in commercial activity, working closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service and CI teams to win new business, retain existing business while increasing opportunity for margin recovery, cost reduction and profit improvement.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Collaborate with Operations and Sales teams in winning profitable new business. Ensure commercial activity including quotations and price proposals are completed in a timely manner. Analyse specifications, drawings and layouts to ensure accuracy and work with operations to determine best routing options and/or design challenges. Ensure all aspects of production are accurately estimated for profitability and efficiency. Gain sound understanding of Smurfit Westrock products, markets and customer behaviours to develop suitable price models and options as needed. Provide governance to ensure accurate development, management & control of all customer pricing matrices and centralised logs. Support the Dublin Operations team in maximizing site operational and margin performance. Support RCM in the review of account profitability and support activities to increase margin and reduce cost. Actively engage in coordinated site support involving tender activity as requested by the tender management team or RCM. Provide both routine and ad-hoc reports and accurate analysis, reports and presentations on customer and component activity / KPIs. Develop and maintain professional customer and site relationships. Participate with on site or customer projects to engineer out costs.

Relevant experience in a similar role or demonstrable commercial awareness
Demonstrable experience of excellent analytical, numeracy, organizational and communication skills.Demonstrable experience of working to high quality standards Clear understanding of cost drivers in the manufacturing processDemonstrable evidence of information handling ability and problem-solving skillsWillingness to travel & some flexibility in working hoursAbility to prioritize and work under pressure.Proficient in MS Packages & other data systems, including high competency in Microsoft Excel
