GDIT is seeking a Sr. Appian Test Engineer to join our team supporting the FDA. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is the federal agency responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation.

In this role as a Sr. Appian Test Engineer you will be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle. You will participate in design sessions, both from custom code as well as architecture standpoint. You will attend customer and team meetings to support various program tasks including design review, stage gates, technical roadmap, production troubleshooting. As needed, you will create various document artifacts including design/ technical approach document, target state diagrams, installation instructions, and Visio diagrams.

Position is Hybrid 2x per month in Gaithersburg, MD at the end of the year and will also require 2x per month.

This position requires a Public Trust Clearance. Residency requirement - Must reside 3 of the last 5 years in the United States.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Bachelors degree and 5+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree)5+ years of experience in the development and execution of test plans and test scripts for Web-based applications3+ years' experience with Atlassian software such as JIRA and ConfluenceExperience developing, documenting, and maintaining functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scriptsExperience executing and evaluating manual or automated test cases and report test results.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

3+ years of solid experience in QA automation Experience with UI test automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNGExperience in SQL codingExperience using Selenium for automated testingProgramming and scripting with Java & HTML/CSS//XML/ JavaScriptExperience Test Framework: TestNG, BDD, Junit, ProtractorExperience with programming in Java / C#, JavaScript or equivalent Programming Language2 + years with AWS, JMeter, Postman, API toolsDeveloped testing processes and procedures and formal test planAgile / Scrum (workflow Rally or JIRA)Strong communication skills
