We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Applications Engineer. If you live in the MSP/Blain, MN, or Horsham, PA area this position could be your perfect match. JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. Applications/Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small application engineering team as well as optimizing thermal processing systems for a wide range of equipment and product applications including dryers, ovens and roasting equipment. This role requires a deep understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer to ensure product performance. This person will lead and support the implementation of development projects. This is a key role within our organization working within a collaborative team based selling model. This opportunity is based near Philadelphia (Horsham, PA) or the Minneapolis area. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES: + Conduct customer technology needs assessment, alignment with engineering standards, technology decision, and product sizing on a wide range of products. + Lead applications integration work for innovation and development projects. + Manage, develop and provide technical guidance to 2-3 applications engineers. + Develop relationships with current and new EPC companies as a trusted advisor.  + Conduct thermal analysis and simulations to optimize system performance. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, project management, engineering to define project requirements and technical specifications/solutions. + Conduct on-site process audits for customers to maximize efficiency of existing equipment. + Support customer and product testing in the Innovation Lab. + Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, competitive offerings and regulatory changes. + Conduct product presentations to showcase the value of our solutions. + Clearly articulate CPM’s technology offerings and value proposition at trade shows and customer meetings. + Provide feedback to improve existing offerings and opportunity areas for new product development. + Manage project timelines to ensure milestones and deliverables are met on schedule. + Responsive to requests and inquiries from internal and external customers. + Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or related field + 8+ years of technical experience in food, thermal, industrial processing  + Experience leading complex projects and R&D activities + Experience managing and developing others + Experience with project development for EPC managed projects + Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail + Strong project management skills and ability to work collaborative in team selling environment + Strong communication skills PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:   + Must have Thermal processing or industrial drying experience + Knowledge of Engineering and Manufacturing processes ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
