BPM Business Analyst

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, USA

Summary of Department Focus

Cognizant Digital Process Automation & Enterprise Integration practice is one of the leading in the industry, well known for our ability to execute, thought leadership and Client focus. As we are strengthening our European operations, we want to leverage our thought leadership capabilities to drive clients to accelerate the pace of their business process management-related initiatives and their journey through the maturity curve. We are looking for Business Analysts from Insurance Domain to join our Integrated Process Management Practice in Bedford, Massachusetts, USA

to work on Business Architecture/Business Analysis domain. This is a hybrid position with at least 3 days in office and NOT a fully remote position.

Key Accountabilities

Understand the current process landscape at the client under the different business domains ranging from core business to ancillary domains like Finance and HR. Review as part of digital transformation the top areas where workflow tools like PEGA or Appian can be implemented Responsible for managing end to end requirements from IT perspective Conduct business workshops to elicit requirements followed by in-depth analysis and translation to system level artifacts (Process Flows – Level 0, Level 1 etc., Use Cases) Align closely with the overall vision of customer and Cognizant architecture team Partner with multiple stakeholders to develop high quality deliverables across all phases of a project (from identifying and defining process flows and use cases to user acceptance testing) Serve as the liaison between Business & IT – also between IT & Quality Assurance Facilitate business buy-in through periodic application walkthroughs or show & tell sessions Coordinate tasks across peer team of BAs to ensure faster turnaround and better quality of deliverables Engage in new engagements to ensure that existing functionality is leveraged to an optimal extent Ensuring strategic goals of the project are aligned with decisions regarding business and IT initiatives. Raise business awareness across the team through focused Knowledge Transition sessions

Job Requirements

Key Competencies

A minimum of 4 -8 years of experience in a similar role as Business Architect and/or Business Analyst in planning and designing complex projects or leading digital transformation projects Excellent knowledge in Process Domain, Process Analysis, Process Mining, BPMN Process documentation Exceptional communication skills (English) with the ability to talk to both business and technical teams Experience in one or more of the leading BPM products like Pega, Appian etc is a plus Knowledge of Life science is a plus but not mandatory

Knowledge

Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or similar Any other relevant degree or certification in areas of Business Analysis

· Strong experience with MS Tools: MS Project, Visio, Powerpoint, Word, Excel

· Fluent English language skills (written, spoken) are a must have.

· Strong experience in Requirement Discover, Gathering and Analysis and development of Enterprise Application Systems.

Experience

· Minimum of 4-8 years of relevant project management experience mandatory.

· Minimum of 2 years agile/scrum program management experience mandatory.

· Solid Experience in process analysis and design

· Experience of some or several of Integration, ERP, supply chain management, finance, e-Commerce applications in Life science projects will be a plus

· Previous consulting experience in complex multi-national organisation

· Proven Business and IT experience ideally supported with relevant professional qualifications

· PEGA Certified Business Architect

· Process Mining

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 to $185,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
