ROLE SUMMARY

The AWS Cloud Engineer must be able operate independently with the ability to influence and coalesce with solution teams across the organization to help deliver engineering solutions to meet Pfizer’s business objectives.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The AWS Cloud Engineering role will work within the AWS Engineering team. This role will be responsible for AWS custom development solutions and partnering with application teams to drive change within our AWS environment.
Responsibilities include:
Build and maintain Pfizer custom applications & solutions running on AWS for the foundational platform team and customers.Knowledge of key AWS services such as AWS Glue, API Gateway, Lambda, Data Sync, S3, Redshift & RDS.Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and senior management to meet business objectives.Commit to ongoing learning and professional development.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, with experience utilizing cloud technologies.3+ years of cloud-specific experience with Amazon Web Services; demonstrated experience with AWSCandidates must be highly motivated and capable of working independentlyCandidates must be highly motivated and capable of working independently Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentAbility to adapt to changing requirements and constraintsAbility to use creative thinking and advanced problem-solving skillsStrong communication and presentation skillsWorking knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Jira is desired.Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP, such as Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer.Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.Knowledge of cost control and/or governance for cloud infrastructure and application development.Understanding of regulatory compliance and security standards in the pharmaceutical industry.Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.Working knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Jira is desired.Work Location Assignment: Hybrid
