Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer with 7 to 11 years of experience in Spring Boot and Java. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for developing innovative solutions. Experience in Supply Chain Management or Retail Services is a plus. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Spring Boot and Java. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features. Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. Help maintain code quality organization and automation. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Implement best practices for software development and ensure adherence to coding standards. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain competitive. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process. Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality. Document development processes code changes and other technical information. Support deployment and production issues as needed.

Qualifications

Must have strong experience in Spring Boot and Java. Nice to have experience in Supply Chain Management or Retail Services. Must have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Must have strong communication and collaboration skills. Nice to have experience with hybrid work models. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Nice to have experience with Agile methodologies. Must have a strong understanding of software development life cycle. Nice to have experience with cloud technologies. Must have a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new technologies. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Nice to have experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 to $116,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
