Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Sr. Associate Production Planner to join our team. This team member will perform planning and scheduling functions involved with coordinating products and materials through carious production phases.
Essential Functions:
Implements planned production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirementsReviews schedules to determine material and parts requirements to ensure materials are available according to schedulesAnalyzes, plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirementsAnalyze work order data, recommend adjustments to lead times, lot sizing and planning buffersManage and minimize obsolescence due to design and revision changesLead and participate in process improvement ideas and implementationPlans, schedules and monitors the efficient movement of material from receiving through to productionProactively develop risk mitigation strategies for critical material, long lead and historical delivery/quality itemsProvides status of work in progress, material availability to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as neededOversight of new product introductions and redesign activities. Track and report on material statusUnderstand focused factory capacity including capital, manpower and time required to increase capacityMake schedule recommendations to Business Planning based on demand and available capacity, production schedule, shop load and inventory requirementsQualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 6 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.Preferred Additional Skills:
