About The Role:

The GovCloud Federal IT Operations team is rapidly growing, entering new markets and adding innovative new features to our products while expanding our product line in support of our federal customers and internal federal teams.

We are seeking a top-performing Sr. Atlassian Administrator who has familiarity working within the guidelines of FedRamp and government to join us on the journey of modernizing and streamlining our delivery in the digital world, with a focus on user experience, compliance, automation and scaling. In this role, you will work hands-on in helping shape the future direction of GovCloud and its long-term strategy. This Sr. Atlassian Administrator will drive the development, customization, and maintenance of our Atlassian suite of products.

You should also have a strong background with working in GovCloud in support of Federal initiatives.  You possess a strong technical background and the ability to methodically assess, prioritize and solve complex problems in the digital identity space. You demonstrate attention to detail and focus on excellent customer-centric solutions. The ability to tackle an independent work stream and drive progress is key.

What You’ll Do:

The Senior Atlassian Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other related tools. This role ensures that the Atlassian ecosystem operates efficiently, meets organizational needs, and supports business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical expertise, process improvement skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity and collaboration.

Platform Administration:

Manage and maintain Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and related plugins/add-ons.

Monitor system performance, plan for upgrades, and ensure system availability and scalability.

Implement and enforce governance, permissions, and security standards.

Customization and Optimization:

Design, configure, and manage custom workflows, fields, schemes, and dashboards in Jira.

Develop templates and macros to improve content management and team collaboration in Confluence.

Implement integrations with other systems and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Slack, Git).

User Support and Training:

Provide technical support for Atlassian users, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Conduct training sessions and create user documentation to promote best practices and efficient tool usage.

Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business units for Atlassian-related matters.

Process Improvements:

Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and improve project management workflows.

Analyze current usage patterns and recommend optimizations to enhance team productivity.

Stay informed about new Atlassian product features and capabilities and suggest implementation strategies.

Reporting and Analytics:

Create and manage custom reports and dashboards to support project management and operational visibility.

Analyze data to identify trends and insights that can improve team and project performance.

Compliance and Security:

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Collaborate with the IT security team to maintain a secure environment for Atlassian products.

What You’ll Need:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience:

5+ years of experience as an Atlassian Administrator, with a strong focus on Jira and Confluence.

Proven experience in customizing workflows, schemes, and dashboards.

Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python) and automation tools (e.g., Jira Automation, ScriptRunner).

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Skills:

Deep understanding of Atlassian best practices and architecture.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and other project management methodologies.

Bonus Points:

Strong experience with Google Workspace and GCP administration -Apps script, Workspace APIs, login flows (OAuth2), Integrations.

Atlassian Certified Expert, Jira Administration Certification, or equivalent.

Experience with Workday, OKTA, ServiceNow and SailPoint integration.

Knowledge of Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, and scripting (Groovy, ScriptRunner).

Knowledge of administering Splunk products.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $110,000 - $190,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
