Tasks
· Mentor incoming staff/underwriting candidates to train in various programs and promote from within.
· Review new & renewal submissions on an audit basis of team members to determine compliance with underwriting guidelines and/or program requirements.
· Review dashboard data for claims and premium information to verify claims data is accurate for deductible, coding, etc.
· Make recommendations to upper management and/or insurance carrier partner for approval to quote policies in excess of authority.
· Analyze TPA data and report any errors in deductible billing, reporting, etc.
· Analyze and project expected losses and pricing on risks and take appropriate action for large risks.
· Examine documents to determine and evaluate degree of risk.
· Rate risk and initiate quotes from carriers.
· Prepare loss models, driver reviews, and overall account evaluation to make recommendations to carriers and assist on verifying account data prior to referral to reinsurance partners for sign-off.
· Review renewal accounts for acceptability for program and determine what should be non-renewed 90 days prior to expiration date.
· Provide general support to the team in implementing new procedures and pricing input for best practices.
