Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting a Sr. External Auditor to support our client, CPA Firm, on a 2-month engagement, based in the South Bay. This consultant will be responsible for auditing three Escrow clients and preparing returns for S and C corporations. The Sr. External Auditor will report directly to the two managing partners and will play a critical role in ensuring smooth audits and supporting the firm to meet the April tax deadline for other clients. The ideal person for this role will have working experience performing audits and is comfortable running audits and preparing tax returns.
Responsibilities:
• Conducting thorough audits of three Escrow clients - (review workpapers, test controls, prepare financial statements, and audit reports)
• Preparation of financial statements and audit reports
• Review of audit workpapers and testing of controls
• Preparation and verification of corporate tax returns for S Corp, C-Corps, and a few Partnerships (training provided)
• Utilization of "Engagement" or similar audit program software
• Ensuring smooth audits and meeting tax deadlines
• Detailed knowledge of audit standards, procedures, and methodologies
• Auditing of financial statements
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
Requirements
• Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar role as a Sr. Auditor.
• Proficiency in Audit Program is required.
• Adept at using CCH ProSystem Fx or similar audit software.
• Experience in handling Audit Engagements is essential.
• Ability to create and manage Audit Plans is necessary.
• Knowledge and experience in using Fx Engagement is a must.
• Candidate should be familiar with the preparation and management of Audit Schedules.
• Proficiency in preparing Audit Workpapers is required.
• Experience with Audited Financial Statements is essential.
• Ability to Prepare Tax Returns is a key requirement. (Client is open to training the ideal candidate.)
