Your Role:

 

As a Sr. Automation Engineer within the Manufacturing Engineering team, you are a critical business partner for and will be accountable for managing and advancing manufacturing automation & assisted robotics technology within MilliporeSigma’s Life Science Plant Operations. This position will support growth by developing & expanding internal capabilities, deploying best-in-class robust processes & technologies to ensure efficient use of our assets. Specific responsibilities include:

 

Scoting, developing, and executing advanced manufacturing, automation, and robotic technologiesFocus on developing best-in-class strategies for existing & new productsEnsuring manufacturing footprint develops robotic and automated systemsExtend the productivity of highly-skilled operators and techniciansProvide complete compliance to Certified Reference Material manufacturing standards such as ISO-17034Delivering solutions that integrate into digital manufacturing systemsMeet data integrity requirements for customer satisfactionSelecting and directing suppliers of Off-The-Shelf (OTS) componentsAchieve target levels of safety, reliability, and precision

Who you are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or other Engineering, or other Engineering discipline5+ years of experience in applied manufacturing automation

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or other Engineering discipline Experience with robotic systems and controlsWorking knowledge of quality and safety regulationsBasic understanding of Engineering and Biological / Life Science processesThe ability to work in a regulated environmentAbility to communicate effectively with all levels within the organizationStrong Leadership skills, Influence skills, and Change agentThe ability to work effectively within a team environment Process driven and experienced in standardizing and simplifying work processesExcellent facilitation and presentation skills, advanced in MS PowerPoint and ExcelThe ability to develop executive level presentations and reports in an efficient mannerGood stakeholder management skills across all levelsExperience in working in a complex matrix organizationAbility to deal with confidential informationAbility to engage broad audiences to adopt new work processes and drive changeA demonstrated commitment to safety
