Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer
The AWS Engineer III will be responsible for identifying gaps, defining roadmaps, building solutions from conceptualization to fruition. This position will drive data solutions, address data risk, and safeguard B2Gnow's technology systems.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Cloud production, pre-production and internal environments infrastructure, ensuring systems reliability, performance, high availability, and security through proper response to incidents, events, and problems reported by customers as well as monitoring & observability tools.
Analyze observability data, monitor server and application logs and make recommendations to improve stability and performance of cloud environments.
Participate in on-call rotation, monitor slack channels, monitoring systems generated alerts, dashboards and take necessary action to resolve requests in timely manner within defined SLAs.
Document, influence, and implement change management, security compliance, backup strategies, disaster recovery, and incident management procedures that are compliant with product and industry best practices and adhere to regulations. Including managing tasks via JIRA tickets, Email approvals, reviews, etc.
Participate in the design and execution of innovative and scalable architectures across areas of product expertise. Including infrastructure, data flow, build plans, pipelines, security, monitoring and alerting, standards and methods for large-scale systems. Document the implemented solution.
Implement and manage end-to-end scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, including AWS services such as EC2, S3, EKS, RDS, Lambda, VPC, Availability Zones, Security Groups, ELB/ALB, CloudFront, CloudWatch, and others in areas of product expertise. Learn and implement new technologies to support application innovation with Kubernetes and microservices. Follow technical specifications and directions from senior engineers.
Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows to ensure cost efficiency and performance for cloud infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and scaling using IaC tools like Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation.
Identify and implement cost saving options.
Implement best practices for cloud resource management, including resources allocations, cost tracking, and identity and access management.
Optimize cloud costs by monitoring expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and proposing adjustments to ensure efficient resource utilization.
Utilize automation tools and continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. Coordinate deployments across multiple lower environments up to production in areas of product expertise.

Implement and optimize security controls that follow SOC 2 procedures such as patch and software updates, key rotation, vulnerability scanning, Hardware/Software Inventory, Ports and Protocols review, vulnerability/threat assessment, maintaining and monitoring Cloudwatch, and Log management in areas of product expertise.
Participate in SOC 2 audits, risk management initiatives and provide best practice guidance on customer implementations and security responses.
Communicate and collaborate with Product, Development, QA and other internal teams to effectively perform assigned tasks & project and ensure that the environments meet their needs.
Stay up to date on the latest technological developments in the field of cloud computing.
Collaborate with leadership to review priorities, provide timelines, and identifying risks on new opportunities.
Handle all user data and information with the utmost confidentiality and data security. Adhere to company policies and industry standards to protect sensitive information. Educate users on data privacy and security best practices. Immediately escalate data security concerns to management.
Travel to corporate locations may be required one to two times per year.
