About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished leader to join our emerging analytics and decision science team supporting strategic business growth and optimization initiatives at the company.
This Role is critical to our overall data infrastructure, data integrity and data governance and will be instrumental in architecting, managing and orchestrating EWC’s enterprise data initiatives. The right person for this role has exceptional data engineering abilities, an ability to think through complex data and logic issues and a demonstrated ability to solve technical challenges. This position will partner closely with IT, marketing, operations, and FP&A partners to ensure we can address the data needs of the business. We are looking for a candidate with a knowledge of SQL and a passion for data analysis and impact.
A Day in the Life
Transform raw data into meaningful and impactful analysis characterized by strong data governance, data integrity, technique transparency, and excellent synthesis of recommendations.Actively maintain the integrity and performance of analytics systems.Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, primarily supporting the business vertical, with the ability to flex into retail, and ecommerce as needed.Partner with the business and other team members to deeply understand the performance of products (evergreen and new innovations) level across channels, developing dashboards/reports to track trends and drive constant improvement in product mix and product development.Design and develop meaningful analytics and executive reporting around customer journey and cross-channel.Analyze data to deepen understanding of key retention drivers and inhibitors.Develop new insights and analyses that inform decisions or plans.Perform ongoing cohort analyses with the goal of informing customer acquisition and retention strategy and maximizing customer lifetime value.Partner with data engineering and a team of analysts, raising the skill level of the entire Data & Analytics team through exemplary work, creative problem solving, and the introduction of better practices, processes, and tools.Create processes and replicable systems to generate on-demand reports from internal and external data sources for key leaders in Growth Marketing, Product Management, and Retail Operations.Find meaningful trends in data sets, perform cohort analysis, and develop algorithms to help translate raw data into actionable recommendations to the organization.What Sets You Apart

Ability to investigate data to explain anomalies, troubleshoot issues and partner with the finance team as needed.An understanding of cohort analysis and customer segmentation methodology and best practice.Skilled communicator who can easily understand and translate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Proven ability to produce standardized, reusable, scalable reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor the performance of our company.Love for statistics and experience with statistical methods + fluency in experimental analysis and a/b testing.Strong ability to communicate insights verbally, visually and in writing and take on loosely defined problems and distill complex findings into actionable recommendations.You care about reproducible work and have picked up tools to this end; you can teach others how to make their own work better and more meaningful.Education and Experience
Bachelors in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or other technical field. Min. 3 years of relevant experience including applying analytics to sales, marketing, product, operations and/or financial data.Min. of 3 years hands-on experience as a data scientist or data analyst, using SQL and working to manipulate and produce insights from large data sets.2+ years working with visualization tools such as DOMO, PowerBI, Tableau, creating impactful dashboards.2+ years financial analysis with excel or other lightweight tools.*This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship*
