**Role: Senior Business Analyst** **Location: New York, NY 10013 (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)** **Position Type: 10+ months with high possibility of extension/conversion** **Overview:** We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with a robust background in Fixed Income product control and a comprehensive understanding of trading operations. The ideal candidate will support our first-line Markets Risk and Control team, situated on the trading floor, focusing on the firm's regulatory operations related to Resolution and Recovery Planning. **Manager's Notes:** + This is a first-line team within the Markets business, operating directly on the trading floor. + The team is responsible for executing the Markets' roles and responsibilities within the firm-wide Resolution and Recovery Planning process. + The role involves performing profit and loss variance analysis to assess potential financial impacts under various scenarios. + Responsibilities include validating system-generated data through rigorous data quality checks to ensure accuracy. + A deep understanding of trading operations is essential, as the role requires analysis of outputs directly derived from trading systems. + Candidates with experience in Resolution and Recovery Planning or Fixed Income product control are preferred. + Strong verbal communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with senior stakeholders. + A minimum of 5 years of experience in Fixed Income product control is required. + The role demands strong analytical skills and investigative acumen. + Candidates with solely operational backgrounds may not be suitable for this position. **Job Description:** The Risk and Control team provides direct support to global Markets operations, aiming to establish and maintain a robust first line of defense to minimize operational risk. The Markets Resolution & Recovery Planning Team, a subset of Risk and Control, seeks a dynamic Business Analyst to oversee system-calculated daily reporting of resolution P&L unwind costs and funding requirements. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Fixed Income product control or within a Resolution & Recovery Planning team. **Core Responsibilities:** + Conduct profit and loss variance analysis. + Perform data quality checks to ensure system accuracy. + Support audit inquiries and provide necessary documentation. **Required Skills:** + Minimum of 5 years of experience in Fixed Income product control or within a Resolution & Recovery Planning team. + Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. + Experience in a front-office controls environment is advantageous.
