Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Business Analyst - Big Data

In this role, the Enterprise Data and Analytics EDA department at NYU Langone Health plays a crucial role in modern healthcare organizations by leveraging data to enhance decision making optimize operations and improve patient outcomes. As a Business Analyst within this department,  you will act as a vital link between business stakeholders and the technical team ensuring seamless communication and project execution. Key responsibilities include gathering documenting and prioritizing business requirements for Databricks projects creating detailed specifications and facilitating stakeholder meetings. The analyst will also provide training and support to end users analyze current business processes for improvement and propose efficient solutions. With strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities this role will enhance the department s capability to deliver impactful data driven solutions and optimize business processes.

Job Responsibilities:

Gather and document business and technical requirements for data lake and reporting projectsAct as a bridge between business stakeholders and the technical teamCollaborate with stakeholders to gather document and prioritize business requirementsCreate detailed requirement specifications use cases and process flow diagramsManage communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycleEnsure stakeholders are informed of project progress risks and issuesFacilitate meetings and workshops to gather input and provide updatesProvide access to training materials user onboarding materials etc nbsp;Provide training and support to end users on new systems and processesOffer ongoing support to address user queries and issuesAnalyze and map current business processes to identify areas for improvementDevelop and propose business process solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Masters degree in Healthcare Business or Finance and a minimum of 5 years of related experience or equivalent Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and BI applications e g PowerPivot Tableau Business Objects Experience in strategic planning new business analysis and financial modeling Experience in developing sponsored federal and non federal program budgets

Preferred Qualifications:
5 years experience analyzing data and working with business users in a warehouse/data lake environment Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications Knowledge of basic database concepts and data models Basic understanding of data flow and ETL concepts Excellent communication skills a must Proficiency in SQL and analysis tools such as Tableau or similar Strong analytical and problem solving skills Experience with Data Lake and cloud technology Experience working in Healthcare Knowledge of Epic Clarity and Caboodle databases Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $88,192.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
