Sr. BI and Analytics Engineer VigLink is looking for a talented Sr. Business Intelligence and Analytics Engineer with strong Data Warehouse, ETL, SQL, and analytics/reporting design skills. You enjoy building data repositories and analytics systems that deliver useful insights scalably and efficiently in a production environment. You enjoy thinking through a data problem, understanding the customer needs associated with it, and working on your own and with other developers and designers to create a pragmatic solution. You like working in an Agile best-practices environment. You understand the importance of testable, modular, efficient systems and you are able to partition data processing and analytics systems in a way that enables those characteristics. Challenges: A few of the fun problems were working on Multi-Terabyte Redshift Data Warehouse We have constructed a flexible, multi-terabyte data warehouse using Redshift on AWS. This warehouse is populated from S3 logs using EMR and DataPipelines. There are significant enhancements we want to make both to the warehouse itself and to the processes that populate it. Fast, Flexible Customer Dashboards We are delivering a new reporting dashboard for our publishers. We’ll be substantially growing the kinds of reports we make available and their format and interaction model over the coming months. Large-Data Analytics Develop automated insights that help publishers improve their performance, based on billions of impressions and tens of millions of clicks per week. Do this for thousands of publishers in a scalable and relevant way. AWS-Based Data Flow Processing We use EMR, DataFlow, Spark, Kinesis, and other technologies to populate our data mart and other analytics-oriented stores from raw traffic data.
