AWS is seeking a driven and talented Business Operations Analyst to play a critical role on our Worldwide Public Sector National Security and Defense Business Operations team. This role is an important point of coordination between the WWPS government sales teams, finance teams, and AWS technical organizations, and is responsible for driving scalable operational mechanisms, creating strategic narratives, and running the operational cadence to drive growth in secure government regions.

Data analysis is at the core of Amazon’s culture, and your work will have a direct impact on decision-making and strategy for our organization. Close partnership with leaders and organizations outside of your immediate team will be necessary, as you will compile data and information that will influence decisions at the most senior levels in Amazon. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical abilities, strong business acumen and judgement, and superior communication skills, along with a passion for pursuing operational excellence.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop and manage dashboards, scorecards, and performance reporting for senior Sales Directors, VPs, and the WWPS leadership team in order to manage and accelerate the business
• Extract raw usage and financial data from business databases and data warehouse, and perform analytics to produce meaningful insights that influence decision making
• Support stakeholders with analysis, ad-hoc data requests, meetings/presentations, and strategic planning activities
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, create new solutions, and resolve complex problems
• Evaluate and advise on ways to improve data quality and ensure data integrity and consistency across multiple domains/systems
