Sr. Business Process Manager

In the role of Sr. Business Process Manager, the individual will lead and support high priority processes and projects related to McKesson Brands to include identification of strategic and enterprise needs. The role will report directly to the Senior Director of Operations, McKesson Brands.

This position works on highly complex problems where analysis of situation requires an in-depth understanding of the business environment and how decisions will impact organizational goals.  For that reason, it requires a strong strategic mindset, outstanding problem-solving, analytical skills, proven process experience with lean methodologies and very strong project management skills. 

This person must be highly organized, is able to lead change, can communicate with a broad range of constituents, and is skilled at measuring process effectiveness and efficiency. The position will be charged with not only creating detailed process plans, but also improving current processes for optimization that will cut across multiple functional areas. 

This position interfaces with a variety of business functions within McKesson Brands, the Product Strategy and Supplier Partnerships Team, and other functions across the company. Candidates must be in or near Richmond, VA as this is a hybrid role with onsite meetings and collaboration requirements in the Medical-Surgical office hub.

Responsibilities:

Builds relationships across functions to understand needs, business priorities, goals and success measures.Works to understand the issues and help team define the process to support business goals.Evaluates the efficiency and value (revenue, cost savings) of established processes, develops improvement strategies, and facilitates changes.Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity. Uses judgment within broadly defined policies and practices. Anticipates change and directs or redirects efforts.Conducts stage gate meetings and is responsible for process deliverables and outcomes.Owns and monitors the end-to-end process and interfaces with stakeholders as applicable.Understands and responds to the needs of internal and external constituents to meet /exceed their expectations.Communicates in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools.Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.Set priorities, monitors progress towards goals, and track details, data, information and activities.Leads facilitation discussions across functions and levels to ensure process remains on track.Specific to process:Measures cycle time of process phases and overall process and identify trends – solve for gaps.Provide insights on what stage projects are within, anticipate challenges & propose solution(s).Reduce total cycle time, increase throughput.Manages process technology tools and lead development of enhancements based on SME input and impacts.Measures value of pipeline funnel and impacts -projects are running ahead or behind schedule.Works with stakeholders to determine how to prioritize; is responsible for ensuring prioritization is adhered to.Trains new employees on process and all employees on changes.Develops and maintains SOPs.

Critical Skills – Required

Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience of process improvement, methodologies and implementation.Must be able to identify and communicate program risks and recommend mitigation.Creates process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes to impacted teams. Training, mentoring, and guiding team members in new processes.Staying up to date with developments in management and process optimization.Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes.Uses analyses to develop recommended operational improvements.Comfortable working in an environment with tight deadlines and significant level of ambiguity.Ability to absorb and process large quantities of disparate information, synthesize quickly and connect dots across workstreams where appropriate.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business leaders to develop and execute processes, leveraging various teams across the organization.Ability to track and prioritize multiple concurrent deliverables in a cross-functional team environment.Ability to speak on behalf of the Senior Director Operations key meetings, with cross-functional teams and to make decisions on project and process items.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience; MBA preferred

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

Previous Experience in a process manager roleProcess / lean methodologies and certificationsMicrosoft Office, specifically Power Point, Excel, TEAMSSmartsheet expertiseProject Management certification is a plusHealthcare industry experience is a plusConsumer packaged good product development experience is a plus

$100,100 - $166,900
