The Caterpillar Senior Business Process Specialist understands data from a business perspective and the structure required to maintain it. This role ensures Caterpillar business partners, applications, and dealers have a complete understanding of some of our critical datasets: customer & equipment data. The Senior Business Process Specialist is responsible to initiate, develop, and facilitate data management for Customer Asset so Caterpillar applications, processes and other master datasets can effectively connect. This position advises sources and consumers of the data, ensure the high-quality data is governed and managed to meet marketing, legal, information security, data privacy and document retention guidelines. **What You Will Do:** + Serve as a subject matter expert on customer asset data by supporting and maintaining Customer Asset and Customer Master datasets + Provide guidance and solutions to maintain data quality, cleansing and accurate reporting + Complete requests for new, change, or removal of data and collaborate with the technical teams to complete them + Ensure the implementation of APIs, recommendations and data changes applicable to customer asset are compliant with existing standards and process; work closely with dealers and internal partners verify data and functionality **What You Will Have:** + **Planning:** **Tactical, Strategic:** Working knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan. + **Products and Services:** Working knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations. + **Analytical Thinking:** Extensive knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. + **Application Delivery Process:** Working knowledge of major tasks, deliverables, and formal application delivery methodologies; ability to utilize these in order to deliver new or enhanced applications. + **System and Technology Integration:** Extensive knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms. **Considerations for Top Candidates:** + Extensive experience in data management or governance (typically 5 + years) + Previous experience with Azure DevOps, Snowflake and Microsoft Excel + Strong organization and analytical skills + Ability to work effectively in a complex, rapidly changing, and culturally diverse environment. + Strong process management skills to understand incoming data feeds and requests while also understanding the use/impact in user applications + Effectively communicate with stakeholders and dealers on data updates + Ability to prioritize multiple complex objectives to achieve business outcomes **What You Will Get:** Working with a Fortune 100 leader, you can build your career on a global scale and take advantage of development opportunities with emerging technologies.
