Descripción del empleoThe Senior Buyer will provide purchasing analytical support linking Procurement team activities to the financial impact of the P&L. This position will provide key insight and analysis into the material cost impact of the P&L on a regular basis.
REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES:
Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned. Activities may include, but are not limited to:
Analyze inflation/deflation, material cost out tracking, total cost out reporting, and ownership of material cost into the analysis of thruput. Provide key insight and analysis into the material cost impact.Maintain effective internal controls and ensure all reporting requirements are met.Continually seek process improvements and leverage best practices across the business.Update purchasing database, month end reporting, corporate and business schedules, and bridging of material cost.Track supplier rebate agreements, monthly accrual and analysis including account reconciliation, communication of impact and forecasting to facilitate linkage to the material cost activities.Provide timely, accurate updates of material inflation and material cost out initiatives to facilitate the forecasting process. Work to establish a 12 month focus on the forecast at all times.Support adhoc analysis as required. Engage in continuous improvement, process enhancements and/or process failure resolution when effectively scoped, prioritized and resourced.Support internal and external audits and SOX testing.RequisitosBachelor’s Degree preferred. 3 -4 years related experience.Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Skilled in proficiently using computers and related software in performing purchasing analysis tasks, specifically setting up spreadsheet formulas, linking spreadsheets, extracting data, developing graphs. Ability to design, develop, and maintain tables, formulas, graphs, and macros in WordPerfect or similar word processing program as well as set up tables, queries, and reports in Access or similar database program. Knowledge of research methodologies. Ability to conduct research, prepare comprehensive reports and present complex financial and statistical information in a clear and succinct fashion. Skill in communicating complex ideas effectively, both orally and in writing, and making presentations to large groups.
