Position summary This position manages indirect service contracts, capital contracts, and material purchasing for the campus. Individual will be expected to leverage BorgWarner collective purchasing power and maximize synergistic opportunities to optimize supplier performance, reduced total supply costs while meeting our technology expectations throughout the supply chain. Ensure plan deliverables meet designed strategies. Negotiate key supplier contracts. Key accountabilities + Negotiates complex and or critical supplier agreements in line with existing strategies. + Recommends supplier selection in conjunction with campus and regional alignment. + Manages the campus repairable asset program, including tracking and reporting metrics. + Follows established procedures and best practices. + May lead complex and or critical supplier negotiations in line with existing strategies. + Support and coordinate supplier relationship with internal departments. + Support other purchasing actions and objectives. + Select suppliers for existing products through effective use of proven procurement skills in an automotive environment. + Continually reduces year-over-year costs through aggressive negotiations, Value Analysis, Long Term Agreements as well as supply base and industry knowledge. + Inform about market developments. + Scope of position will include a wide range of difficult and complex problems. + Work is assigned in terms of objectives. + Review of work results is based on objectives at predetermined milestones.
