Job Title: Sr. Buyer
Job Description
In this role, you will handle requests for supplier quotations and select the best proposal based on lead time, quality, and price. You will negotiate blanket agreements with suppliers for both direct and indirect materials to secure optimal terms and conditions. The role requires analyzing direct material requirements based on customer demands, ordering materials accordingly, and managing relationships with suppliers to ensure favorable purchase price variance. You will conduct quarterly supplier performance evaluations, support R&D efforts with necessary materials, and expedite materials as needed. Additionally, you will manage Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), enforce purchasing terms and conditions, resolve non-conformance issues, and ensure proper stock levels are maintained. Your responsibilities also include initiating cost-reduction projects, monitoring commodity trends, and working closely with cross-functional teams to improve workflow and processes. You will also be expected to adhere to all safety guidelines and perform other duties as assigned.
