Summary of the Role:
To perform Quality Assurance (QA) activities for the Dahej Plant. Perform Quality Management system activities, specifically leading the development and standardization of Quality management system processes, Coordination of Interna/external certification audit programs. implement continuous improvements in Safety, Quality and Operation.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Responsible for creation and revision of standard operating procedures and work instructions or job aids for Quality control processes. Accountable to review the incoming, inprocess and final product data using statistical tools, provide data driven insights for product and process improvements. Drive the process improvements to improve operational efficiency, product quality, safety and cost. Responsible for the Validation, Calibration and measurement system programs. Drive new programs which implemented from Global QA to Dahej. Define & implement process improvements to improve operational efficiency, product quality, safety and cost. Perform Quality assurance audits, Leads the internal audit programs across the teams as part of Quality management system requirement. Actively lead the Quality deviations resolution processes at Dahej plant. Reporting of Quality incidents, deviations and non-conformances to the operation excellence dashboard. Review the effectiveness of corrective actions implemented at plant and ensure timely closure of non-conformances, customer complaints etc. Provide guidance to other functions for the effective implementation of quality management system and to meet compliance requirements. Promote company standards and policies on safety, Quality and 5S. Perform other required duties as needed in addition to the essential responsibilities described above.
Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):
Education / Certification:
Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry / Polymer Science / Chemical Engineering preferably from a good university & minimum work experience of 8 to 12 years in chemical Process industry or polymer compounding industry Computer Skills: MS Office, Minitab, SAP QA Module, LIMS Certified IMS, ISO 9001 lead or Internal auditor.
Experience and Skills:
Experience in industry related to Batch operations, compounding –preferably solid / powder material. Strong knowledge in Quality management system documentation and implementation in plant environment. Preferably managed audits, similar management systems implementations. Familiar with the various key systems to drive Quality and operational excellence at manufacturing plants such as 5S, TQM, 7QC tools, Six sigma (preferred). Able to work documents, document validation process and training for commissioning new production units Excellent communication and effective human interaction skills. Ability to receive and provide instructions with team spirit in effective manner. Able to influence others to drive change.
