Job Title: Sr. Civil Engineer
Job Description

This role supports projects and clients in the planning, design, and construction phases of water/wastewater treatment plants, stormwater systems, distribution/collection systems, and pump/lift stations. The water resilience team needs someone to focus on project delivery, assist with the development of construction documents, technical specifications, and provide engineering services during construction. Another large aspect of this role will be overseeing the designers to lead and delegate their projects. Additional responsibilities include:Preparing detailed engineering calculations & analysisCompleting design tasks within budget and on schedulePreparing scopes of work, cost estimates, and other project documentationSupporting the work of others and mentoring entry-level engineersEnsuring project compliance with all practices and quality and safety standards

Hard SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related fieldMinimum 5 years of related industry experience (could be civil, water/wastewater/Environmental)Experience in the development of project drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, and cost estimates, budgetingLeadership experience; including managing project delivery expectations, prioritization of tasks, and mentoringJob Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Syracuse, New York and some days remote.

Work Environment

Preference to be in office but will allow this person to work from home 2-3 days a week.
