We seek an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong Azure and AWS  platform background. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing scalable, high-performance cloud architectures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and automation within our cloud environments. 

 

This position is required to report to the SHI Somerset NJ and SHI Austin office location as determined by SHI management.

Include but not limited to:

Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure in Azure and AWS environmentsDevelop infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates Monitor cloud performance, perform capacity planning, and ensure system stability and scalabilityImplement best security, governance, and compliance practices across cloud environmentsTroubleshoot complex issues related to cloud infrastructure, including network, compute, and storage problemsProvide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, helping develop their technical skills and cloud expertiseCollaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into cloud solutionsStay updated on the latest cloud trends, services, and best practices to ensure optimal use of cloud platforms Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 3 years working with AWS and AzureStrong experience designing and deploying cloud architecture, including microservices, serverless computing, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Proficient in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like TerraformExperience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or ChefStrong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., VPN, VPC, DNS, and load balancing)Familiarity with security best practices, such as identity management, encryption, and key managementExperience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or DatadogRelevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus Required Skills Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualification:

Experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automationProficiency with scripting languages like Python or PowerShellExperience with multi-cloud management and hybrid cloud architectures Additional Information The estimated annual pay range for this position is $100,000 - $170,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
