You Are:

Resolve enterprise trouble tickets within agreed SLA and raise problem tickets for permanent resolution and/or provide technical leadership (lateral or hierarchical) for the team to resolve customer issues.

 

The Opportunity:

·       Lead the setup and provisioning of cloud infrastructure accounts, including network elements, telemetry/monitoring tools integration, and basic log aggregation.

·       Enforce account boundaries and security measures using services such as AWS IAM and AWS Organizations during the account provisioning and onboarding process.

·       Support deployment activities by facilitating the deployment of roles and policies to grant appropriate access to services as defined by CCOE and ADM teams.

·       Define and execute event management and incident response activities outlined in the MIM response plan.

·       Drive modernization efforts for existing/legacy stacks to improve efficiency, reliability, and security.

·       Ensure SLAs are tracked based on predefined KPIs, conducting annual reviews with stakeholders and Cloud Service Providers (AWS).

·       Utilize configuration management, monitoring, observability, and SEIM tools (Splunk) to maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure.

·       Implement and maintain cloud security measures using AWS services such as Amazon GuardDuty, AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, AWS Firewall Manager, AWS Network Firewall, and AWS Security Hub.

·       Oversee release management processes, approval controls, incident management workflows, and notifications/s to ensure timely response and resolution.

·       Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and knowledge management practices to document and share best practices and operational insights.

·       Drive the development of infrastructure-as-code (IAC) and promote self-serviceability to enable DevSecOps practices within the organization.

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What you need:

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

·       Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure operations, preferably in AWS environment.

·       Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security measures using AWS IAM, AWS Security Hub, and other relevant tools.

·       Strong Skills on Linux/UNIX OS Systems and Experience with Shell/Perl/python scripting and other programming languages

·       Proficiency in configuration management, monitoring, observability, and SEIM tools (e.g., Splunk).

·       Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IAC) development and promoting self-serviceability. Proficiency in CFT/CDK, especially with CFT/CDK Cloud for build operations, is required.

·       Experience with GitHub enterprise and GitHub cloud services.

·       Experience in Agile Project Management, DevOps, ITIL methodology

·       Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

·       Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

·       Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent are a plus.

 

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Illinois

Compensation Range:   $71,000-$107,000

 

Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits.
