**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Chicago Downtown (Willis Tower) location in the BTS Business Technology Services division.
**PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION**
Lead the development, delivery, and maintenance of cloud services for BTS IS - Cloud Services. A core function of Cloud Services is to provide robust cloud platforms, services, guardrails, observability, and accelerators for cloud end users consuming cloud services via our supported cloud vendors. These services focus on cloud operations, cloud economics, cloud security, and cloud engineering. This role will primarily be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining these services and other functionalities based on requirements from cloud customers, functioning as a team lead for 3-5 developers, and operating within an agile framework with a 3-week sprint cadence.
**Core Job Responsibilities**
+ Architect, develop, and maintain Terraform code for associated services, platforms, and business accelerators.
+ Lead the development and maintenance of services within an existing service delivery framework leveraging Python Django, NextJS, Jenkins, and the BTS IS proprietary automation framework.
+ Design and implement asynchronous automated service pipelines using Jenkins and Python-based Celery for the Cloud Services catalog of services.
+ Develop and enhance front-end forms and other functionalities as needed using NextJS within an existing front-end framework.
+ Collaborate with Service Now to develop services for direct consumption within the Service Now catalog of services.
+ Proactively assess and enhance the effectiveness of standards, methodologies, and processes to drive continuous improvement.
+ Ensure compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
+ Serve as a technical expert and mentor for other BTS IS cloud services developers
**What you will work on**
+ This position reports directly to the Manager Cloud Services – Customer Enablement in BTS IS.
+ Accountable for working with the cloud economics, security, operations, engineering, and enablement teams on joint projects and initiatives.
+ Responsible for the development, testing, and demonstration of services within Agile sprints for Cloud Services.
+ Ensure awareness of technology trends and maintain current skills through proactive training and learning opportunities.
**Required Qualification/ Experience**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a technology or management discipline preferred.
+ 5+ years of overall IT experience.
+ Extensive experience with Python or other scripting languages.
+ Proficient in front-end web development frameworks such as NextJS.
+ Experience working with New Relic or other observability platforms
+ Experience working with or within DevOps teams.
+ Experience working with Terraform.
+ Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric preferred

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
