Description We are seeking a Sr. Collections Specialist to join our legal team located in DALLAS, Texas. Your main responsibility will be to oversee the billing and collections operations of our law firm, manage a high volume of accounts, keep accurate records, and engage with clients in a detail-oriented manner to settle any outstanding balances. Responsibilities: • Implement and manage the firm's collections strategy and oversee all aspects of the collections cycle • Manage a large number of accounts, ensuring all collection efforts and client interactions are properly documented • Engage with clients in a detail-oriented manner to resolve unpaid balances and collect payments • Identify and rectify any discrepancies or billing issues to improve collections efficiency • Provide reports on collection activity and the status of accounts receivable • Establish and maintain detail-oriented relationships both within and outside the organization • Use accounting software systems like Oracle, SAP, or Aderant for efficient management of collections and billing • Employ CRM and Epic Software for effective client interaction and collections management • Manage cash collections and ensure the accurate processing of claims • Utilize Accurint and ADP - Financial Services for enhanced collection processes and financial services respectively • Respond to inbound calls, addressing any concerns or questions regarding billing and collections. As a Sr. Collections Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial stability of our firm while building strong, detail-oriented relationships with our valued clients. Requirements • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a Collections Specialist role or similar within the Legal industry. • Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems for managing financial records. • Familiarity with Accurint to enhance investigation processes. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services for payroll and other related functions. • Competency in CRM for managing company's relationships and interactions with potential and current customers. • Knowledge of Epic Software for streamlining various tasks. • Expertise in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) including invoicing, payments, and dispute resolution. • Experience in answering inbound calls and addressing customer queries and issues. • Proficiency in executing billing functions accurately and timely. • Experience in claim administration, ensuring all claims are processed and settled. • Knowledge of collection processes, with the ability to implement strategies to recover owed amounts. • Experience in Collections - Commercial, focusing on business-to-business debt recovery. • Proficiency in cash collections, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of payments. • Strong understanding of general collections processes and principles. • Experience with Aderant, a popular legal software, is preferred. • Proficiency in Oracle for managing database systems. • Experience with Elite 3E, a comprehensive business management solution designed for legal professionals.
