Sr. Compensation Analyst

The compensation team provides Zillow with competitive intelligence and market research to keep Zillow at the forefront of modern and inclusive compensation practices which attract and engage the very best. About the role

The Sr. Compensation Analyst will collaborate with the compensation team, support company-wide initiatives and compensation consulting through market research, data modeling and analytics, procedure and process improvement, and system administration in support of solving business problems.

Roles and responsibilities:

Research and analyze market trends and compensation standard methodologies to ensure that our compensation programs remain competitive within the industry and broader labor market where we operate. Assist in providing fact-based solutions and support key partners in making sound compensation decisions.

Provide support to the annual review and mid-year compensation processes by providing enterprise-wide analysis and modeling, collaborating with other HR COEs to deliver cross-functional results.

Build reports, dashboards, and other tools to equip the comp team, HR partners and managers with actionable insights, and support data-driven compensation programs administration.

Support the annual salary planning activities by benchmarking base salary range and equity targets against the market and advising on updates.

Maintain compensation structure and ranges in Workday and support the job governance process, including developing and maintaining job intake form, job description and documentation.

Assist with the evaluation of new and existing jobs including but not limited to assessing FLSA status, job levels and compensation structure.

Maintain compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirement, safeguard data quality and integrity across compensation systems and resources,

Build and document compensation procedures and processes to streamline workflow and improve operational efficiency.

Handle compensation inquiries, respond to requests for information, and lead higher level requests with the Total Rewards team.

Liaison with the Talent Acquisition team by developing, and maintaining tools to support offer strategy, and gathering and analyzing hiring trends to ensure the competitiveness of the compensation program.

Assist in change management for major compensation projects and initiatives, including training and communications.

May support compensation consulting needs for and/or during major compensation review processes.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $90,100.00 - $143,900.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you areBachelor's Degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration or related field and 5+ years of experience in compensation or a relevant field.Strong analytical skills and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheet, and possess good understanding of HR programs/systems.Outstanding data analysis and quantitative skills to effectively interpret and leverage data for decision-making purposes.Experience with Workday is highly preferred.Strong customer and business partnership focus.Eager to learn and can build successful partnerships with key partners within or outside of the People (HR) team.Ability to work independently, take on responsibility and be comfortable in a changing fast paced environment.Exercise professional judgment in dealing with sensitive employee data.Experience with third party survey tools (Radford, Mercer, Aon) is preferred.
