Abacus Technology is seeking a Computer Scientist to provide software development and support for the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC). This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software. Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications. Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software. Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements. Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management. Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools. Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Qualifications6+ years experience in software design and development including at least 4 years in a DoD environment. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. In-depth experience with all phases of the software development life cycle and knowledge of a wide array of software languages. Experience with software design and working closely with the end user to verify product will meet business requirements. Capable of working with the network or systems team to ensure proper integration of software applications into the existing infrastructure. Must be detail oriented and have excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Requires good communications skills and the ability to work professionally with all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
