Are you a digital marketing maestro with a passion for innovation and strategy? We're on the hunt for a Digital Marketing Lead to spearhead our Retirement Solutions business digital projects. This dynamic role is perfect for someone who thrives on planning, collaboration, and strategic execution.

What You'll Do:

Lead Planning and Road Mapping: Chart the course for our digital projects, working closely with the Retirement Solutions Marketing team, Marketing Ops, NF UX, NF Technology, and other key stakeholders. Your strategic vision will identify future opportunities in automation and technology.Develop Execution Approaches: Craft both short- and long-term strategies to achieve our digital experience goals. Your plans will align with our overarching web strategy, ensuring seamless execution.Prioritize Projects: Be the driving force behind project prioritization, ensuring alignment across multiple teams to speed up decision-making and delivery.Create Business Cases: Develop compelling business cases to secure funding for enhancements to our pre-authenticated digital experiences on nationwide.com.Align Resources: Coordinate resources across site management, web content, NF Technology, NF UX, and SEO to deliver top-notch digital experiences. Partner with the NF product manager to prioritize technology development.Coordinate with Enterprise Partners: Ensure a smooth user experience from pre- to post-authentication by collaborating with cross-enterprise partners.Optimize Performance Metrics: Measure and monitor key performance metrics for our digital channels. Use these insights to drive optimization efforts and create a digital health scorecard.Activate Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP): Lead the charge in activating, monitoring, and reporting on MCP campaigns. Tailor these campaigns to deliver personalized and impactful customer experiences.

As a Senior Consultant on the Digital Strategy team, you'll lead and be accountable for setting and supporting the vision and direction of digital investments across the enterprise. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for new initiatives, responsible for providing strategic consultation and thought leadership to support business objectives and goals.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Acts as primary point of contact for Digital team, providing consultative skills and identifying appropriate partners to tackle a given problem.

Understands, interprets and analyzes digital trends, competitor intelligence, digital standard methodologies, emerging customer behaviors and innovative ideas that will bring about business results.

Acts as the Digital professional providing strategic thought leadership (e.g. digital trends, competitive insights, standard methodologies, etc.) to executive-level committees, marketing partners and the Digital team as they develop and refine yearly tactical initiatives. Proactively shares digital insights to educate and support the broadening of digital competency (e.g., hosts seminars for managers, leadership, creates regular reports on digital).

Leads a variety of relationships with business, Marketing and Technology leaders, project leaders, vendors, etc. Leads service evaluations regarding outside consulting service vendors.

Participates and acts as a standing member of marketing leadership teams. May join the Digital Council and/or present regularly to it.

Works with leadership across the enterprise in prioritizing prospective funded initiatives. Supports internal directors on the planning team and their team in the development of business cases for any funding requests involving digital capabilities. Supports internal directors on the marketing team in the development of yearly marketing initiatives.

Conducts periodic account reviews with directors to test whether the work they are doing is reflective of the digital strategy and uses the most relevant digital platforms given the trending digital behaviors of the target audience.

Participates in the analyzing of digital metrics, such as site traffic, marketing critical metrics, etc. to understand customers’ usage patterns and trends. Assesses ongoing competitive analysis of digital properties to continually inform the strategy of our primary digital properties (e.g. Nationwide.com, NationwideFinancial.com, mobile app, social channels, etc.). Monitors results via scorecard and provides scorecard data to advise partners on success and status of key initiatives.

Ensures and communicates project alignment with strategic and organizational goals to the project dependency areas, executive leadership and identified partners. Participants in testing and business readiness exercises as a part of the overall quality control prior rollout of new and/or enhanced internet applications. Partners with Corporate Strategy and Innovation teams to ensure enterprise alignment.

May lead, coach, and mentor associates, providing career guidance, with a specific focus on attracting, retaining and developing extraordinary marketing talent and creating an environment that furthers collaboration, high engagement and success.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Associate Vice President, Digital Strategy. May have opportunity to manage a small team of Digital Strategy professionals.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in business administration, marketing, human-computer interaction, psychology or related field preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: Property/Casualty insurance and/or Life/Health/Accident/Variable Annuities licensing and/or FINRA 6 & 26 securities registration, CLU, CPCU, CPU, FLMI, PMP, SCPM, certifications may be necessary.

Experience: Typically, 10 or more years of demonstrated project management, digital and mobile marketing and enablement. Experience leading large, company-wide projects. Prior consulting experience or similar roles that required a combination of extensive subject matter expertise with a highly consultative working style - preferably within insurance and /or financial services. Experience developing organizations and crafting the evolution of a team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proven subject matter expertise in digital with a track record of developing digital strategies and assessing their effectiveness. Understand technology, internet, mobile, and key digital interactions impacting the end-to-end customer journey. Team management in an entrepreneurial/ innovative environment. Ability to translate data into insights and results. Experienced knowledge of insurance and investment securities products and services as well as financial services a plus. Strong executive presence and verbal and written communication skills. Ability to craft executive communication and facilitate executive sessions and/or participate in ongoing leadership meetings. Establishes a consistent positive attitude and desire for results. Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrives in opportunity to build an organization from the ground up. Ability to problem solve and find opportunities for value creation among the team.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.
