Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Corporate Tax Accountant in Chicago, Illinois. As a key member of our team, you will be adept at preparing tax returns for various types of corporations and nonprofit organizations, staying abreast of current tax laws, and providing tax planning advice to our diverse clientele. Responsibilities • Research and stay updated on current tax laws and regulations. Experience with S corp, C corp and Nonprofit returns • Provide tax planning and advisory services to optimize client's tax positions. • Assist clients during tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities. • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and ensure timely filing of tax returns. • Identify potential tax credits and incentives to maximize client benefits. • Participate in continuing education and detail-oriented development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge. • Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities. • Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation. • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional customer service and support.
