Senior Cost Accountant

Job Description:

As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in preparing consolidated financial statements and various accounting reports, including management reports. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and verifying the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly journal entries, consolidating entries, and month-end analyses. Generate various exhibits and commentary required for reports issued to management, outside Directors, and government agencies. Coordinate the typing, proofreading, issuance, and filing of reports. Prepare and analyze distribution and storage costs. Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting procedures and systems. Reconcile and analyze intercompany activity. Assist with special projects, year-end activities, and related duties. Prepare inventory reconciliations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 3-5 years of accounting experience; CPA preferred. Strong ability to understand and follow detailed instructions. Proven ability to meet deadlines while functioning effectively. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with SAP systems is a plus.
