Responsibilities

Perform standard cost roll-ups and cycle count postings in the system to ensure accurate costing.Analyze and provide monthly expense reports to support operational decisions and identify areas for cost savings.Conduct in-depth variance analysis, including purchase price variance, production variance, and manufacturing variance to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.Organize and oversee physical inventory counts to validate the accuracy of asset records.Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing processes, including journal entries, accounting schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations.Manage the full spectrum of fixed asset activities, ensuring proper tracking and reporting of all assets.Assist with external tax audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to financial regulations.Contribute to the development of the Annual Operating Plan by providing relevant financial insights.

Basic Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. A professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a multinational corporation (MNC).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and ERP systems, with a strong emphasis on SAP.In-depth knowledge of standard costing systems and variance analysis techniques.Strong understanding of inventory management principles and fixed asset accounting.Familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards and statutory requirements.
