Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cost Analyst to collaborate with program management in the development and execution of financial processes. The ideal candidate will facilitate, monitor, and forecast program financial metrics, ensuring alignment with agreed budgets and milestones. This role requires an analytical mind with a strong grasp of cost analysis and financial reporting.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with program management in the EAC development process, ensuring performance aligns with agreed budgets and milestones.Facilitate, monitor, and forecast program financial metrics to support month-end close and financial planning activities.Review financial and internal controls to ensure they meet management objectives.Develop and project variances, trends, and expenditure analyses; create financial charts for program management and reviews.Assist program management by reviewing management practices and policies, recommending changes to enhance operational efficiency.Compile and analyze data on cost-influencing factors such as materials, labor, location, and special equipment requirements.Prepare comprehensive cost summaries for projects, including labor, equipment, materials, subcontracts, overhead, taxes, insurance, markup, and other relevant costs.Estimate costs or track actual costs relative to bid specifications as projects progress.Support cost estimating or proposal activities as needed.Lead the preparation and submission of monthly IPMR CDRLs (Formats 1-7) if required by the contract.Requires some limited travel.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in cost control/program cost analyst roles (8+ years preferred).Proficiency in cost analysis, financial reporting, and earned value management (EVM).Experience with internal controls, systems, and procedures.Strong Excel skills, including pivots and VLOOKUPs.Experience with Deltek and Costpoint ERP systems.Experience in SOX and auditing.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience supporting programs, ideally in government.Background in aerospace and defense is highly preferred.Experience summarizing, packaging, and presenting findings.Experience with budget/cost variance analysis.Work Environment

This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to be mostly in-office during the training period. Post-training, the role will transition to 2-3 days in-office per week. The position involves reporting to a supervisor at the main site, with potential expansion to other national sites. The role requires limited travel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $150000.00
