Amazon Shipping is building a Customer Insights program that will enable data-driven decision making across the organization through market research, customer satisfaction studies, and advanced data analysis. By combining industry and primary customer research, we will identify strategic insights that will shape the product roadmap, drive operational improvements, and sharpen our go-to-market strategy across marketing campaigns and sales.
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Customer Insights Manager who can lead this initiative to new heights. This role offers the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of one of Amazon's fastest-growing businesses while working directly with senior leadership to enhance our shipper experience and drive market expansion.
Key job responsibilities
• Drive strategic customer insights projects across Amazon Shipping's Commercial, Product, Operations, and Marketing teams
• Deliver the end-to-end shipper satisfaction program, including CSAT surveys, focus groups, and feedback collection mechanisms
• Lead cross-functional research initiatives to identify growth and service improvements opportunities
• Design and maintain comprehensive dashboards tracking shipper sentiment, market trends, and competitive intelligence
• Drive continuous improvement of research methodologies, including survey design, qualitative feedback collection, and insights reporting
• Present insights and recommendations directly to senior leadership to influence strategic planning and investment decisions
• Build and manage relationships with third-party research partners to supplement internal insights capabilities
Basic Qualifications
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 7 years conducting custom, primary market research, including managing large scale tracking programs
- Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research (designing, executing, analyzing, drafting actionable recommendations, and presenting up to senior leadership)
- Proficiency with SPSS, Decipher, Confirmit, or other Market Research analytics tools.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience developing written research reports used to communicate findings to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
- Master's degree
- Experience in the logistics industry.
- Exceptional written and oral communication abilities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
