Our client, a leader in the oil and gas industry, is seeking a Sr. Customs Advisor/Customs Specialist to join their team. As a Sr. Customs Advisor, you will be part of the Treasury & Risk - Finance division supporting the Customs team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Sr. Customs Advisor/Customs Specialist
**Location:** Calgary, AB
**Job Description:**
+ Provide guidance on pre- and post-trade activities and expectations.
+ Liaise with logistics teams and business units to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
+ Conduct detailed risk assessments on customs operations and develop mitigation strategies.
+ Enhance the corporate customs and trade compliance control framework.
+ Educate and collaborate with stakeholders on import/export matters.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
+ Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry or customs brokerage.
+ Strong knowledge of Canada/U.S. Customs laws, rules, and regulations.
+ Experience as a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) focusing on compliance.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analytics tools.
