We are on the look-out for a top-tier Data Architect proficient in Cloud platforms, particularly Azure, with extensive knowledge of Azure Data Storage and Management components (ADLS, Blob, SQL Server, Synapse), Azure DevOps, and hands-on experience in setting up Synapse environment for analytics. The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in all Synapse components, including Data Ingestion (Azure Data Factory), Notebooks, and Azure Analytics (Power BI). This position is open to candidates Located near a CGI office with preference to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, area. **Your future duties and responsibilities:** • Participate in Data Governance meeting to provide guidance and advocate how we can help the business be more successful, including participation with Data Management organizations to Define ownership, usage, security, and quality for all data. • Works directly with Data Analysts, Solution Architects and Vendors to understand and validate requirements and translate business requirements into technical requirements and designs. • Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database. • Logical design of Databases, Data Warehouses and Multidimensional Databases including data flows, conception model and logical models • Serving as a consulting resource for Delivery and Support • Creating strategy and recommendations on a company’s future data and tech policies • Collaborating with other team members to build the ideal database, data integration and business intelligence infrastructure and platforms. • Establish Data Architecture Design Patterns and best practices. • Forward thinking on new technologies and pattern • Technology strategy and roadmaps **Required qualifications to be successful in this role:** • 10+ years’ experience in IT. • 5+ years’ experience as a cloud Solution/Data Architect. 2+ years hands-on experience on Azure and Synapse platform setup, configuration, security implementation, naming conventions and standards establishment, ‘link’ creation to other Azure Data stories such as Azure Data Lake Store (ADLS), Cosmos DB, Azure Blob, etc., creating and maintaining optimized Views, performance tuning, Cost Optimization, etc. • In-depth knowledge of Synapse architecture components and functions of each including serverless and dedicated engines, Spark, SQL, etc. • Lead/help migration and modernization of on-premises DW objects into a well-designed and well-tuned Synapse Analytics environment. • Lead the implementation of multiple logical data layers on Synapse for various purposes, e.g. Data Lake/Raw, Sand Box, Curated/Cleansed Layer, Analytics/Integrated layer, etc. • Support Data Engineers as well as BI developers to leverage Synapse Pipeline and Power BI respectively to access ‘Synapse defined objects. • Help Implement proper CICD and DevOps processes and standards. • Extensive knowledge of DW and Analytics concepts and design principles. • Must be able to guide and provide mentoring and documentation to other technical resources. • Experience with other Cloud Data Platforms such as Snowflake a plus. • Experience documenting, presenting, and leading the team with proposed solutions. • Knowledge of Azure AD security integration and its implementation in a synapse environment. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $61,000 - $213,800.
