Sr. Data Architect/Manager
Job Description Compensation: $70/hr to $80/hr. - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law. A Fortune 100 retail industry client of Insight Global is looking for several Sr. Data Architects/Data Engineering Managers to join their growing team. These folks will report directly into the Sr. Director and work alongside their large engineering teams, oversee/lead multiple projects, and ensure that data solutions align with organizational goals and priorities. The right person for this role will be able to understand and evaluate problem that the business is facing, develop solutions, give perspective to the team and have a leadership voice to challenge based on potential risks. At a management level, this role will entail leading and mentoring a team of data engineers, setting performance goals and overseeing skill development. Architects and managers collaborate with business stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure data strategy supports business objectives. The role will interface with business stakeholders, technology infrastructure teams, and development teams to ensure that business requirements are properly met. A major business challenge that they will be responsible for helping solve include creating visibility as to why an item is out of stock. This role will review data solutions and provide feedback to improve, based on best practices. Skills and Requirements · 5+ years of enterprise level data architecture experience · Mastery of writing SQL queries against a relational database · Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, data modeling, and ETL processes    GCP is ideal for cloud, but Azure/AWS is fine too · Strong understanding of defensive programming techniques/alerting and monitoring. i.e. What are the tradeoffs and if they had to do their task again, what would they do differently next time? · Retail industry experience · GCP · Experience using AtScale · Background in SAP, finance, supply chain, e-commerce, and/or loyalty programs Experience using tools like Kafka or PubSub to build and manage data pipeline streaming null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
