Key Responsibilities:
Product Vision & Strategy: Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products. Align the roadmap with business objectives and evolving business needs to ensure maximum value creation. Perform consistent follow-up with business units to ensure the product strategy is continuously meeting future demands.End-to-End Lifecycle Management: Lead the entire lifecycle of data products, from ideation through to launch. This includes requirement gathering, prioritization, documentation, and execution of features and enhancements.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business, data engineering, BI development, and analytics teams to develop and maintain data products and platforms, ensuring data governance, security, and compliance. Collaborate regularly to understand upcoming business requirements and proactively address future needs.Stakeholder Management & Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on business operations to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights. Develop impactful documentation and presentations (e.g., PowerPoint) to communicate product updates, demos, and strategic recommendations effectively. Drive stakeholder engagement and product adoption through clear, concise storytelling and visualization techniques.Data Quality Assurance: Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and data validation to maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.Data Accessibility & Impact Measurement: Collaborate with development teams and analysts to enhance the accessibility, quality, and usability of data across teams, ensuring it meets the needs of the business and drives impactful outcomes.Mentorship & Leadership: Serve as a knowledgeable resource to guide and support team members, sharing your expertise and best practices in data product management. Foster a collaborative environment, help elevate the team's capabilities and encourage the adoption of new tools and processes.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, computer science, Data Science, or a related field. Business majors with analytics background preferred.7-10 years of total experience, with at least 5+ years in product management focused on data products and platforms.Proficient in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Incorta, MicroStrategy, etc.), SQL, data visualization, and analytics platforms.Strong documentation skills to capture requirements, project status, and user feedback.Experience conducting product demos and user conferences to support cross-functional training and user adoption.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value and facilitate cross-team collaboration.Ability to focus on long-term strategic needs while simultaneously managing immediate business requirements.Exceptional presentation skills, including proficiency with PowerPoint and other communication tools.Preferred Qualifications:
Retail Industry Experience – understanding of eCommerce, Brick & Mortar (B&M), and wholesale models. Familiarity with how data products can drive sales, customer engagement, and operational efficiency in these areas.Knowledge of retail-specific data (inventory management, customer segmentation, pricing) and exposure to retail data sources (e.g., point of sale, loyalty programs, supply chain data).Experience with eCommerce platforms and omnichannel retail strategies, including understanding of online customer behavior, digital marketing analytics, etc.Familiarity with the latest trends in technology and best practices in data & analytics, especially within retail analytics. Understanding of machine learning applications such as recommendation systems and demand forecasting, and basic data science principles.The annual salary range for this position is $120,000-$150,000 USD.
