About the Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Data Scientist II to join our team building the next generation of AI assistants powered by large language models (LLMs). In this role, you will collaborate with other scientists, software engineers and product managers to implement and enhance our AI capabilities. You will contribute to the technical direction, lead specific project workstreams, and help drive innovation in our AI solutions. What You’ll Do:

Architect and implement sophisticated LLM solutions, with deep focus on advanced techniques in reasoning, summarization, and interactive capabilities

Design and optimize complex neural architectures for specific use cases

Lead technical implementation of GenAI projects and provide guidance to team members

Develop novel approaches to model training, fine-tuning, and deployment optimization

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Contribute to establishing best practices and evaluation frameworks for AI models / systems

Present technical findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders

Conduct advanced research into emerging AI technologies and their practical applications

Author technical documentation and share knowledge through internal workshops

What You’ll Need:

Advanced degree (PhD or Masters) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field

6-8 years of applied machine learning / research experience, with focus on developing production-grade models

Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of modern LLM architectures (Transformer-based models, attention mechanisms, etc.)

Proven experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior team members

Advanced knowledge of Python, Deep Learning frameworks, and distributed computing

Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Demonstrated ability to balance research innovations with practical implementation

Bonus if You Have:

Research portfolio with publications in leading AI journals and conferences

Experience with cybersecurity applications of machine learning

Contributions to research papers or technical publications

Experience with large-scale ML systems in production

Active participation in open-source ML projects

Track record of successful end-to-end ML project delivery
