Job Description
A client is seeking a Sr. DBA to join their production team. This individual will be responsible for protecting corporate data assets and ensuring the performance and stability of database systems. This role is a true production DBA and involves fulfilling tickets to execute and monitor backups, troubleshoot service outages, resolve database performance issues, and ensure system security. Additionally, they will be assisting with server rebuilds from SQL 2014 and 2016 to SQL 2019. The DBA will work closely with development and QA teams to support product releases and maintenance.

Skills and Requirements
- 8+ years as a DBA working on relational database platforms, with a focus on very large databases (VLDBs), on-call deployment, and troubleshooting
- Strong background in T-SQL, particularly in supporting database rebuilds and upgrades
- Familiarity with SQL Server versions from 2014 to 2022
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and Fog Light
- Capable of managing hundreds of SQL servers and hundreds of terabytes of data
- Understanding of scalability challenges and effective data management
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related) - Knowledge of healthcare data (PHI/HIPAA)
- Experience in international production environments null
