As a Deposit Operations Specialist – Daily Processing, you’ll provide customer and internal support for the Bank's Operations department, focusing on day-to-day operations. The Deposit Operations Specialist is responsible for processing customer requests in a fast-paced work environment and serves as the primary contact for service-related inquiries and research for both internal and external customers. This role requires knowledge of retail branch functions and general regulatory knowledge. This position will also provide support within the operations department and other operational support functions. Each area of Deposit Operations may have one or more specific areas of service but will be cross-trained in multiple functional areas.Responsibility
Process customer requests in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.Handle incoming mail deposits, cash deposits, deposit corrections, deposit returns, and check adjustments.Review and callback daily reports.Process research requests for check copies, statements, deposits/offsets, bank notices, and verifications of deposit.Conduct branch reviews to verify adherence to controls related to cash counts, key controls, transactions, audit reports, error reports, documentation, procedures, etc.Monitor Service Cloud case queue for incoming requests and process within designated SLA.Perform deposit operations functions including but not limited to general account maintenance, account verification requests, account research requests, branch cash ordering, and mailing daily customer notices.Work with the Contact Center, Relationship Managers and customers to troubleshoot and resolve inquiries promptly.Review daily deposits exceeding threshold limits for CTR reporting and ATM/mobile deposits; independently research and resolve issues.Understand and maintain compliance with Regulation D, CC, DD, E and Visa Zero Liability Rules while adhering to Bank policies and procedures.Knowledge and experience in the financial services industry, including deposit and/or cash management and/or lockbox processing.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with prospective and existing customers and banking associates.Knowledge of compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to the banking industry.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, diverse, and growth-oriented environmentProficiency with personal computer skills, including various software packages (word processing, spreadsheet, e-commerce, email, presentation, and banking systems)Qualifications
