Sr. Deputy Director Supply Chain

Responsibilities What You'll Do: Under the functional direction of the Vice President Supply Chain, the Deputy Sr. Director of Supply Chain is a vital role within Supply Chain and responsible for the planning, organizing and carrying out large-scale projects, along with management of the EUCOM Supply Chain team. The Deputy Sr. Director SC will work in close collaboration with cross functional peers, in country leadership and program teams. The Deputy Sr. Director of Supply Chain will focus on overall managing developing and supporting a high standard of supply chain projects, best practices approach to maximize program execution support, efficiency and cost-effective solution, and results. As a frontline leader, the Deputy Sr. Director effectively leads people within the region. The Deputy Sr. Director inspires, mentors, and develops employees with a focus on talent development to build a resilient team. The Deputy Sr. Director ensures 1) developing forecast and planning requirements 2) ensure requisition is in compliance 3) identifies local suppliers and selects the best overall total cost 4) develops local supplier contracts 5) ensures proper purchase order preparation 6) manages and continuously ensures receipt and inspection is taking place 7) ensures and manages the invoice settlement and payments to the suppliers, responsible for the Days Sales Outstanding DSO/Days Paid Outstanding DPO metric 8) material and services are sourced compliantly and seamlessly, 9) logistic and asset management responsibilities are being met, 10) managing key performance metrics for the regional procurement operations 11) developing and maintaining local supplier performance 12) project management of all aspects of Supply Chain 13) enhances and improves supply chain – owns the KPI metrics and reports. Moreover, the Sr. Deputy Sr. Director ensures successful Supply Chain execution on all regional programs from phase-in through close-out. Building and enhancing the relationships with cross-functional regional leaders, the Sr. Director listens, speaks, and writes clearly and consistently. The Sr. Director communicates for maximum impact with people at all levels within the organization, including team members, leadership, peers, and others. Supporting new business proposal activities where the resultant contract is performed within the region, the Sr. Director is a business partner to the regional Operations Sr. Director, Program Managers, and other functional leaders (e.g. Contracts, HR, Finance). The Sr. Director is also the primary point of contact for all complex regional Supply Chain matters. Key Responsibilities: Effectively lead people; inspire, mentor, and develop employees while focusing on talent development and building a resilient team Project manages all key improvements within Supply Chain Owns the overall management of the KPI’s and ensures the Supply Chain organization is on track. Develops key improvements where necessary Ensure successful Supply Chain execution within all regional programs; drive compliance to policies and contractual terms Ensure team actions (e.g. Subk/procurement/PO solicitations and awards) comply with Corporate purchasing procedures and policies as well as Government Prime Contract requirements Continuously monitor awarded subcontracts/procurement performance and ensure all contract terms and conditions are met; own the management and oversight of the regional supply base Develop strategy; collaborate with Strategic Sourcing to ensure the seamless sharing of information leading to the development of regional demand and forecast data analysis Provide constructive feedback to the Strategic Sourcing team and other non-Operational partners to illuminate contractual barriers while collaborating on strategy formation Develop changes to policy, practices, and processes to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency; use judgment and discretion to oversee implementation of improvement projects Manage change; develop and execute a regional Supply Chain Operations transformation strategy Oversee productivity improvement projects; drive a culture of continuous improvement Implements and execute the regional agreements that are developed through the Sr. Director providing information and consulted with throughout the process. Review organizational structure and staffing levels to ensure effective and cost efficiently support to programs Manage and train SCA/buyers and ensure optimal staffing level to support demand in material procurements Lead implementation of regional supply chain initiatives Executive communication; listen, speak, and write clearly and consistently, communicating for maximum impact with people at all levels in the organization, including team members, leadership, peers, and others Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams; solve complex problems and exercise ethical judgment within broadly defined practices and policies Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance or related field. Certification by National Contract Management Association is desired. Experience: Minimum fifteen (15) years' experience or equivalent working a wide variety of contracts and subcontracts with a strong background in Subcontract administration and management, as well as purchasing and procurement; Five (5) years’ experience with government contracting. Must have working knowledge of the FAR, contract law, purchasing policies and procedures, and the demonstrated ability to communicate with executive leaders. Customer service oriented, detail focused, pro-active behavior, multi-task capability. Must have experience training personnel, leading direct employees and projects, and improving team performance. GovCon experience highly desired Skills: Proven ability to effectively collaborate with and communicate with all levels of senior leadership and individual contributors within V2X, as well as with customers and vendors Strong project management skills and a demonstrated ability to convert business requirements into executable strategies; ability to develop and execute project plans Skilled in team building, conflict resolution, and relationship management to create an effective partnering environment to includes credibility, respect and trust Demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain-related metrics and terminology Strong critical thinking skills, ability to exercise independent judgment while managing complexity and ambiguity Analytical and business problem-solving skills Performs within the highest ethical standards Other Requirement: Must be a US citizen Software: Microsoft Office suite of tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Technology: Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company. USD $ 145,000 - $ 215,000 Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
