Sr. DevOps Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a DevOps Engineer for our jewelry insurance client. The Sr DevOps Engineer will work collaboratively with software engineering, operations, and architects to streamline the movement of changes from request through development and into production. This Sr DevOps Engineer will automate and streamline IT operations processes, codify our clients infrastructure, and build or implement tooling to improve development monitoring and operations, and recommend DevOps tooling. Responsibilities include:
Assists development teams, infrastructure, and operations with the use of automation technologies to enable IT service improvements
Document, design and re-design various processes to continually improve service to the organization.
Serve as a thought leader and partner to security, compliance and architecture teams
Work closely with IT team members and stakeholders and agile teams.
Develop and socialize operational standards for teams throughout IT.
Serve as a critical voice, enabling quality practices throughout IT.
Assists in defining DevOps and quality guidelines and standards
Works closely with architects to assure all systems are in line with our strategy
Evaluates existing applications and platforms and provides recommendations for improving performance by conducting gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions and assisting in the scope of modifications
Builds automated deployments and feedback mechanisms using configuration management technology
Leads and performs scripts maintenance and updates due to changes in requirements or implementations
Leads and performs ongoing routine DevOps maintenance tasks
Leads and perform automated/load tests and address any issues
Works with vendors to resolve problems and develop solutions
Serve as an advocate for quality practices including the development of automated testing to improve business processes.
Act as a critical part of a multi-team effort to deliver, manage and maintain configuration automation to meet business needs.
Responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of Infrastructure as Code components to meet business needs.
Manage CI & CD tools and pipeline as a partner to development teams.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) capabilities through software development, guiding vendor and product selection and developing standards
Experience with InfoSec practices
Create and maintain configuration standards for software and infrastructure
Monitor technology and organizational trends in IaC, CI / CD, DevOps and DevSecOps in order to mature and continually improve IT services
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
