Position Summary:
Lead in the creation, implementation and on‐going oversight of the talent management infrastructure, framework, and strategies to support the organization’s efforts to achieve its strategic plan. Involved in facilitating the assessment and development of employees through the execution of initiatives and programs. Identifies and recommends opportunities to improve and align supporting systems and creates and implements an integrated approach to total talent management.
Education, License & Cert:
An Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or a related field is required; A Master’s degree is preferred. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and HRIS Systems is required.
Experience:
7‐10 years if demonstrated Human Resources management/leadership experience in a large, complex corporate environment with experience designing and implementing complex processes across multiple locations is required. 10 years of progressive and diverse experience in Human Resources in the Healthcare industry preferred.
Essential Functions:
1. Strategic partner and organizational leader in the development of organization and people strategy that maximize business performance. Supports the ELT in building the workforce capability and culture required to support substantial growth and change. Responsible for the execution of the following Talent strategies: i. Succession Planning/ Talent Reviews ii. Leadership Assessments
2. Provides overall leadership to the Talent Management Service Line (e.g., Training & Development and HR Business Partners) in a way that ensures the service line remains current & competitive with the changing marketplace to secures that Guthrie achieves its vision of being a best place to work and build a career for current and prospective talent. Responsible for the execution of the following related Talent strategies i. Leadership Development ii. Career Development/ Career Paths iii. Etc.
3. Leadership oversight for the Caregiver & Provider Engagement program and protocols.
4. Provides leadership to System Wide training and development in way that ensures that it connects to the broader talent management model and strategy.
5. Overall responsibility to provide direct programmatic oversight and leadership to The Guthrie Clinic Intern and Fellowship programs.
6. Assists the SVP, Chief Caregiver Officer and development of the HR Division, as it relates to employee and business‐related services provided to all Guthrie entities and operations.
Other Duties:
1. Ability to effectively establish relationships, communicate and interact with all levels of personnel within the organization, including presenting information and responding to questions from Board committees, management, employees, members, and the general public.
2. Ability to identify and properly handle complex issues, exercising initiative and judgment, and a level of comfort making decisions with sometimes incomplete information. a. Advanced knowledge of Human Resource policies, employment law, and government regulations pertaining to their implementation and application with particular focus on NY & PA b. Advanced knowledge of compensation methodologies, benefits, and reward/incentive programs. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure. c. Skill in providing analysis, information and reports on operational and strategic HR and Talent programs.
3. Ability to lead, coach and develop management staff.
4. Ability to understand “big picture” concepts while nurturing/developing a team environment. 5. Ability to persuade top level executives to adopt policies and initiatives.
6. Establishing relationships with appropriate external parties including professional associations, service suppliers, recruiters, and outside legal counsel.
7. Good overall understanding of company finances and uses this information to support managers in resource and succession planning.
