Sr. Dir, Tech Project Management

The Sr. Director of Tech Project Management establishes and oversees the IT Program and Project Management Practice for DIRECTV's IT Organization. This role will work on the development of a robust framework to align and optimize all IT initiatives, ensuring reduced cycle times and increased success rates. The leader will be responsible for elevating our project management capabilities, standardizing methodologies, and fostering an agile work environment.
**Here's what you’ll do:**
+ Architect and implement a comprehensive IT Program and Project Management Practice that supports projects of all scales within the DIRECTV IT Organization.
+ Develop and execute strategies to enhance project delivery efficiency, leveraging best-in-class methodologies and tools.
+ Lead the transformation of company-wide initiatives, such as Save to Invest (S2I) and Marketplace, utilizing advanced agile program management techniques.
+ Establish and maintain a center of excellence for project management, ensuring all team members possess requisite certifications and skills.
+ Drive continuous improvement in project team effectiveness through strategic skill set management and ongoing professional development.
+ Align and optimize resource allocation across the IT project portfolio to maximize organizational impact and efficiency.
+ Implement standardized processes and tools to enhance project visibility, reporting, and decision-making capabilities.
+ Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure IT projects align with broader business objectives and strategies.
**Program | Project Practice Management Build and Lead**
+ Plan and Organize Program and Project information to drive organizational alignment and transparency
+ Execute IT and Business projects to deliver Programs and Projects
+ Develop and refine project flow of operation and execution of through: Business ideation, Product Solutioning, Delivery and Post program launch support
+ Manage Asana and Jira Resources – Intake through Delivery and Reporting
+ Build and own TVMO PMO Operational cadence and Communication Process
**IT PPM Governance**
+ Develop and Lead IT and DIRECTV Leadership Governance for all Programs and Projects
+ Operationalize effective governance models and processes for the Program Management team to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.
+ Develop operational cadence for Governance information
+ Develop communication and reporting structure and output for IT programs through all intervals
**Build and Maintain PPM Team**
+ Develop Criteria and sizing for IT PPM Practice team
+ Identify appropriate skills to support IT and Business Project managers
+ Maintain PM Organizational effectiveness through Training and Development
**What you’ll need to be successful:**
+ 7+ years of experience as a successful tech project management leader in a fast-moving business.
+ Demonstrated history of high achievement thru education, leadership position(s) and other significant achievements.
+ Excellent organization and planning skills with ability to multi-task.
+ Self-directed, results-oriented individual who can independently handle multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
+ Analytical – makes data-driven decisions while establishing effective metrics that drive results and optimize on technology stack.
+ Intellectually Agile – able to think deeply and qualitatively about strategy and vision.
+ Entrepreneurial – brings a high level of self-directed energy and an unrelenting drive to succeed.
+ Leader – able to lead by displaying an unparalleled work ethic; able to coach and mentor those around them.
+ Strong Communicator – Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; articulate with an ability to communicate in a direct and clear manner; history of communication with C-level executives using oral, written, and presentation formats is preferred.
+ May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer’s proprietary data. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction will be considered for employment in accordance with local ordinances and state law.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
**DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $154,850 - $281,060**
Low (N1): $154,850 - $232,180
Mid (N2): $163,000 - $244,400
High (N3): $179,300 - $268,840
Top (N4): $187,450 - $281,060
