Reporting to the VP, Integrated Marketing and Communications the Director, Enterprise Internal Communications role drives company-wide internal communications that connect functions, operations, and commercial teams around our purpose, culture, and goals. The ideal candidate brings well-rounded business and communications acumen, demonstrating a highly strategic, dynamic approach while serving as a trusted advisor to the executive team. These individual leads multi-faceted internal communications programs that enhance executives’ visibility and influence.
In close partnership with corporate, operations, and commercial functions, the Sr. Director ensures that all communication strategies reflect Flex’s core values and advance the company’s strategic objectives. Responsibilities include defining and executing forward-thinking communications initiatives and creating original content, such as C-suite narratives and internal/employee communications, that resonate with diverse audiences and support the company’s transformation, growth, and reputation.
What a typical day looks like:
Serves as a strategic partner to senior executives, utilizes planning and communications skills to facilitate change, and effectively leads in a matrixed, fast-paced environmentOversees C-suite executive internal communications and brings to life leaders’ original perspectives that help shape, reinforce, and promote Flex’s corporate reputation and build business momentumDrives the standardization and implementation of the company’s internal communications strategy that addresses constituent needs while ensuring that plans, programs, and messages are coordinated and aligned with Flex’s overall goals and objectivesProvides counsel to corporate, operations, and commercial functions, including the executive leadership team on communications best practices, working towards achieving desired business outcomesThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:
A minimum of 15 years of successful execution of internal and executive communications programs, with a minimum of 10 years of people management experience, and at least five years working directly with the C-suite. Technology and publicly traded company experience required.Innovative, strategic thinking and planning skills with the ability to create and communicate the CEO’s vision for the future through clear strategies and narratives, and specific priorities.Proven ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others across business units, functional groups, geographies, and disciplines.Understanding of and experience working adjacent to government affairs teams. This includes a general understanding of, or experience working for, a company involved in the geopolitical landscape and familiarity with trade restrictions.Forward-thinking storyteller with a proven track record in narrative shaping.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation and facilitation skills. Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.Proven judgment of talent with an emphasis on hiring and developing high-performing teams.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead through influence and network. Highly professional demeanor and diplomatic skills.
