This role can be either based in NYC or St. Petersburg. It will be Hybrid (3 days a week in office)

 

We are looking for a passionate and talented individual to join the Global Merchandise Strategy and Operations team at Foot Locker Inc. As Senior Director, Global Business Process, you will leverage your influence and creative problem solving skills as you work closely with the business to lead the delivery of capabilities and solutions that enable efficient and effective execution of their business strategies. The role will require development of strong relationships with the GMM leadership, influence with the 250+ associates within the global merch organization, the ability to convey a future state vision, and the ability to work cross functionally across a large matrixed organization. Communication and influence are key components of success as is fluency in the business process, technology, change management, and training.

This role is accountable for leading the team that will deliver, support, and optimize business processes and system capabilities within the Merchandising organization in partnership with the business leadership. The functional scope includes assortment planning, merchandise financial planning, inventory management, pricing, and merch operations for sku creation and PO management. As the leader of the Global Business Process team, you will:

 

Advocate for the business:

Listen and engage with the merchandising team to understand pain points and prioritiesSeek broad functional business perspective and buy-inHelp articulate pros/cons, alternative options, and implications; anticipate future requirementsCommunicate key decisions to leaders at all levels

 

Manage the Transformation Roadmap

Partner with GMM leadership as well as Exec Leadership team to prioritize and sequence workIdentify required resources to manage the initiativesDevelop project timelines to realize multiple phases of the project work include proof of concepts, pilots, and production roll outsMaintains alignment and coordination with cross-functional business leaders

 

Engage in Process Definition:

Active participant in project activities and deliverables, gaining an understanding of the new systems and future state processesHelp define the future state processes for the global organization, connect the dots across functions and geographiesEngage across the business and related functions to ensure alignment; bring in subject matter experts when requiredMaintain a broad functional view, understanding upstream & downstream impacts

 

Support Change:

Identify significant changes to the organization and assess overall impactsParticipate in the development of communication plans, lead communication sessionsIdentify ways to drive process improvements or user adoption based on knowledge of the organizationChallenge the business on current state business processes and the underlying assumptions and justifications

 

Drive Business Engagement and Adoption:

Ensure the business is appropriately engaged in projectsDevelop and deliver end user trainingProvide support to the business during key rollout periods

 

Optimize and Sustain the Capabilities:

Evaluate, measure, and monitor processes to ensure business needs are met and to identify opportunities for continuous improvementLead process improvement initiatives in alignment with leadership prioritiesManage development and delivery of strategic initiatives in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or merchandising requiredMinimum of 10 years of experience of relevant retail experiencePrior experience in the merchandising or planning process either in a functional role or in a project-oriented support roleExperience in leading and developing teamsStrong personal commitment to quality, service, and teamworkAbility to establish relationships and work effectively with all internal and external constituenciesAbility to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivatedAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency while remaining organizedAbility to problem-solve, manage to deadlines, and complete in-depth analysis to support decision makingExperience managing resources in a matrix organizationExperience in influencing others outside of your direct management

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $170,000 - $200,000 / year.  This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short and long term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
