Owns sourcing strategy for Global Supplier base. Manages the strategic sourcing process for Raw Materials, from supplier/product evaluation to negotiating contracts and compliance monitoring. Coordinates and manages the ongoing supplier management process. Maintains an up-to-date understanding of enterprise needs, relevant industries, and best practices for strategic sourcing. Manages commodity and strategic sourcing efforts and relationships. Successfully liaise between the site locations and corporate to implement updates to raw material qualifications as needed to support business initiatives and sourcing strategy. **Core Responsibilities** : + Own the delivery of robust category strategies aligned with business needs for approx. 1.12B in spend across different Raw Materials of Resins, Component Kitting, Chemicals, Packaging, Rubber, Additives, and others Raw Materials. + Develop plan to deploy, execute and hold team members accountable for individual category strategies that deliver best-in-class performance that exceeds business expectations + Own and lead Global Procurement long-term strategy for Raw Materials including P&L impacting value generation, profit improvement, innovation, risk management and E2E sustainability + Deliver robust plan and drive execution against negotiation plan for all Raw Materials of $1.12B in annual spend and over 2000+ vendors with a clear negotiation strategy that deliver best-in-class negotiation outcomes and contracts that protect Owens & Minor while delivering benchmark P&L savings and balance sheet impact. + Drive continuous engagement and exposure with Executive stakeholders given the relevance of the Raw Materials, Component Kits within O&M's P&L to deliver business growth through Innovation and Margin optimization. + Approve and oversee global supply contingency plans, an understanding of alternate supply sources and a balanced risk approach in business award decisions. + Ensure the Raw Material Category teams develop Cost Models/ Clean Sheet Analysis, Total Cost of Ownership understanding (TCO), Supply & Demand Analysis to drive global strategy, supplier selections and P&L impacting margin improvement. + Develop strategic approach to rationalize SKUs, component replacement, make vs buy analysis to optimize P&L Impact for components included in kits for health care industry. + Leads strategic relationships with top tier suppliers to drive O&M's supplier innovation and growth agenda as it relates to raw materials + Deliver results and strengthen supplier partnerships in collaboration with other Procurement leaders, Product Team leaders, and R&D teammates ensuring O&M is the partners of choice to strategic suppliers + Guides the Raw Materials team members on the Standard SRM and Supplier Engagement plan to deliver on value, efficiency, OTIF and quality results. + Provide thought leadership to and shares best practices with Raw Materials and Other Procurement teammates + Develop a high performing team of global procurement professionals + Lead a global category team of 10 spread across the globe with a clear execution plan + Represent the category at global meetings as appropriate. + Build competence and capability in Raw Materials team members + Contributes to Global Procurement team capability build by leading one major initiative + Develops and maintains knowledge-based across the sub-categories in Raw Materials + Continual review of external and internal best practices, health care market movements and technology trends **Qualifying Experience** : + Bachelor’s degree required, master's degree is preferred (engineering, industrial production, supply chain, logistics domain areas preferred). + 15 or more years of experience in procurement and negotiation of goods and services or in business areas related to assigned procurement categories (sourcing, healthcare, logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, etc.) with 10 or more years of leadership experience. + CPM, CPIM, and CPSM certifications preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the above requirements. + Solid knowledge of procurement and asset management. + International regulatory experience/exposure preferred. + Fundamental understanding of financial systems data, accounting processes, and e-procurement technologies. + Experience with E2E Procurement applications like Coupa, Ariba or others preferred. + Broad understanding of major corporate suppliers. + Experienced with presenting and selling ideas at multiple levels in the organization. + Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and negotiation skills + Demonstrated ability to conduct Requests for Procurement and Request for Information processes leveraging eSourcing, eAuctions + Demonstrated ability to conduct competitive bidding processes in an unbiased and ethical manner. + Ability to critically review, author and edit contracts and agreements. + Understands principles of accounting, including the ability to read and analyze financial statements of suppliers. + Inside working conditions. + Ability to travel up to 20%. + No environmental hazards indicated for this classification. + Open to a hybrid remote working environment \#LI-ST1 If you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.
